Vince McMahon runs WWE however he sees fit, and that includes who he calls up to the main roster from NXT. He has continued to do things his own way, and that isn’t changing. He might need a fresh wave of NXT call-ups very soon to make up for the 16 members of the main roster they released in the last couple of months.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke about WWE’s system when calling up Superstars to the main roster. He said that they are supposed to give six months to prepare those Superstars for a brand jump. Of course, Vince McMahon will do whatever he wants in his own company.

“The idea supposedly is that Vince gives [Triple H] six months notice so they can work the guy in and finish him up do it in a way, that’s what it’s supposed to be. There’s always changes. Vince can always wake up one morning and say, ‘I want this guy — ratings are down I need some new guys,’ which may have even happened this week and then new guys are going to show up out of nowhere without the six months of planning and some of them are in the middle of NXT angles even, because that’s happened, but it’s Vince, you know it’s always Vince. All the guys who got cut, it’s Vince.”

We’ll have to see who WWE brings up to the main roster from NXT. They were scouting for new talent at the Performance Center previously. Vince McMahon could wait six months and let Triple H wrap up a character in NXT before debuting them on the main roster, but McMahon will do whatever he pleases. It’s his company, after all.
