WWE and NJPW are in talks right now, and the two sides have been in communication for a couple of months now. Vince McMahon’s company is looking to become the exclusive North American partner for New Japan Pro-Wrestling. This could all stem from one man, Daniel Bryan.

According to a report from PW Insider, Daniel Bryan is the crux of the deal between NJPW and WWE. Bryan Danielson wants to work for NJPW and that initiated this negotiation.

There have been communications between the two sides for several months but the main crux of it was over the potential of Daniel Bryan being able to potentially work some dates in NJPW.

It is unknown what Daniel Bryan will do now since his WWE contract expired. He could come back if a deal is reached between NJPW and WWE. To take this deal would also mean that NJPW cannot work with any other pro wrestling company. That would nix Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho along with The Good Brothers.

We will have to see how this situation pans out. The fact is that Daniel Bryan’s desire to wrestle in NJPW seems to have gotten the talks going.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
