Impact Wrestling prerecords several episodes during a single round of tapings. Last week they recorded for four days and got two months’ worth of content in the can. They won’t have to come back for a while, and Josh Mathews will be on commentary during that round of tapings.

It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Matt Striker, who took over for Mathews on the commentary desk, was unable to make the tapings. It was not stated what kept Matt Striker from the announce desk, but Josh Mathews filled in.

Josh Matthews was back as the lead announcer on these tapings. Matt Striker was unavailable for the tapings dates but is expected to return at the next set of tapings.

Fans who miss hearing Josh Mathews on commentary have news to get excited about. Hopefully, Matt Striker is okay and he will be able to return to his duties during the next round of tapings.
