Cathy Kelley is no longer with WWE, but she made a lot of great friends while working for the company. She worked a lot with the digital team and a majority of that department was cut today. Kelley is gutted over the situation.

We previously reported that WWE cut a ton of backstage employees. The plan is to merge many departments into one overseen by Kevin Dunn. That is why WWE axed so many people backstage today.

Cathy Kelley tweeted out to express her sorrow over WWE’s recent round of cuts. She said that the digital department worked their asses off and didn’t receive the credit they deserved either.

my brain can’t comprehend and my heart is f*cking breaking for all my friends. along with being great humans, everyone behind the scenes at wwe digital worked their asses off to build a huge money making brand and don’t get near the credit they deserve

We will have to see how today’s firings will go change WWE’s social media content. The digital department covered a lot of content that fans really enjoyed. Hopefully the firings are over, but WWE is now left left with employees forced to do even more with fewer people.

What’s your take on WWE’s latest firing spree? Sound off in the comment.
