WWE Hall Of Famer Ted DiBiase remains one of the most popular and hated heels during the late 80s and early 90s. DiBiase is also known for unveiling his own championship called the Million Dollar Championship and it seems the belt will be making its return to WWE television soon.
Ted DiBiase made his return to WWE television on this past week’s episode of NXT and interfered in Cameron Grimes’ match. It seems the company has something very interesting planned for the storyline between the two.
According to Andrew Zaharian on the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast, the company currently plans to bring the Million Dollar Belt back for the upcoming episode of WWE NXT.
He’s gonna appear in the ring next week with Grimes…Million Dollar Belt is back…I can confirm the Million Dollar Belt is back baby!”
Andrew Zaharian would then explain how the storyline between Ted DiBiase and Cameron Grimes would play out, revealing that it will be a comparison between new wealth and old wealth.
“I was told that it’s like a comparison of old money versus that whole bitcoin money. It’s unsophisticated idiots becoming millionaires overnight because of cryptocurrency and the Million Dollar Man represents old wealth, 1980s wealth. I think that’s the story here with this.”
It is currently not known what purpose the feud will have for Cameron Grimes, especially when it comes to the Million Dollar Belt. Perhaps Ted DiBiase will give the belt to Grimes when the feud ends.
