Fenix made headlines this week when it was announced that his first art exhibit is opening soon. That is very exciting news and he will have plenty of time to paint now, because he is injured.

The Lucha Bro, who is considered by some to be one of the best in the game today, is injured. He has not appeared on AEW programming for a few weeks. This is not good timing at all, but it forced him off the Double Or Nothing pay-per-view.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter did not note the type or severity of Fenix’s injuries. It was confirmed that there is no return date set for him at this time.

Rey Fenix is off the PPV due to injuries. We don’t have details past that the injuries were believed to have been from a recent match in Mexico. No word on how long he’ll be out

Fenix’s last match was a month ago on AEW Dark: Elevation when he beat Chuck Taylor during the show’s 7th episode on April 21st. We are hoping that Fenix’s injuries aren’t too bad, but it doesn’t seem like there is a return timeline right now.

In the meantime, Fenix can focus on his other projects outside of pro wrestling. The Death Triangle, and AEW, will certainly miss him until he is able to make a return.
