Daniel Bryan’s WWE contract expired and he is now a free agent. There is hope in WWE that he will return, but nothing is ever set in stone in pro wrestling until the ink has dried on the contract.

Ringside News has asked around about the possibility of Daniel Bryan’s return. We were told that “it will never be hard to fit him back in” where the storylines are concerned.

We were also told that “there is open communication, but no rush from either side,” for him to ink a new deal. At this point, Daniel Bryan is likely enjoying some well-deserved time off.

SummerSlam is going around as a possible return time for Daniel Bryan. That was not confirmed to us as nothing has been worked out yet. Anything is possible in pro wrestling and Bryan Danielson could always show up at AEW’s Double Or Nothing pay-per-view on May 30th.

If anything, Daniel Bryan’s final match in WWE (so far) was a fantastic Universal Title match against Roman Reigns on Friday Night SmackDown. Then Paul Heyman followed that up with a 10-bell salute the next week, a segment that was not scripted as Ringside News exclusively reported.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
