Daniel Bryan is a veteran in the pro wrestling business, having wrestled in various promotions all over the world before making his way to WWE. Last month, Bryan also mentioned that his WWE contract is expiring soon as well. Now it seems the time has finally come.

According to a report by Fightful Select, it was stated by various sources in and outside of WWE that Daniel Bryan’s contract either expired last week, or was set to expire last week after he lost to Roman Reigns on Friday Night Smackdown.

It was further stated that while higher-level sources were aware of Bryan’s contract running out, Bryan himself hadn’t openly talked about his WWE contract status. No talks regarding a farewell backstage at WWE Smackdown for Bryan were mentioned either. However, that doesn’t mean a farewell party in private didn’t take place.

While his contract has expired, it doesn’t necessarily mean that Daniel Bryan will be leaving WWE or has not signed a new contract with the company. Daniel Bryan had previously mentioned his desire to wrestle in other pro wrestling companies.
