WWE made a big change to their backstage structure when Mark Carrano was fired. This came after controversy arose when it was discovered that female WWE Superstars received their belongings in trash bags after they were released.

The company released even more people, and we are learning a new name this morning. Wrestling Observer Newsletter also noted that Joe Villa, former employee of WWE’s media and communications department, was released this week.

Villa’s LinkedIn profile notes that he has been with WWE for 16 years and 1 month. He held the position of Manager, Publicity and Corporate Communications for over 8 years. Now he is no longer with the company.

It was previously reported that referee John Cone is no longer working in talent relations. Nicole Zeoli, Director of Talent Relations, is also no longer with WWE after 11 years with the company.
