WWE reported their earning for the first quarter of 2021. They celebrated another profitable quarter, but they did see a slight decline in overall revenue.

The company boasted $263.5 million in revenue for the first quarter of 2021, a 9% decrease from the previous year. Operating costs were at $65.1 million, an increase of 22% from last year, or $11.8 million.

WWE’s digital video views racked in at 9.4 billion. That is an impressive number, but it is a 2% decrease from last year. In total, 367 million hours of WWE content was consumed, an increase of 7% from last year.

The company is very happy about their expansion into Peacock on March 18th. That was a big highlight of the presentation as well. Now that WWE Network subscribers are a part of Peacock, subscriber numbers are not released.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
