WWE is holding WrestleMania Backlash next month, but no mention was made of Money in the Bank, a pay-per-view fans were expecting to see first.

Ringside News has confirmed that fans are getting Money in the Bank this year. Backlash was switched for the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. Now Backlash is “WrestleMania Backlash.”

We were told that the decision to swap the two pay-per-views was made “a long time ago.” It wasn’t until WWE revealed the date for WrestleMania Backlash that fans realized they switched it around.

The previous dates are correct, but the pay-per-views are swapped. WrestleMania Backlash will air on May 16th with Money in the Bank on June 20th. Both events will take place in the Yuengling Center’s ThunderDome.

Money in the Bank was in June last year, but it was a much different set of circumstances. MITB was a May pay-per-view in 2019 and 2018.

Money in the Bank is a fan-favorite event and who holds the briefcase at the end of the night can go on to change the company for the next year. Fans will have to wait a bit longer before the annual ladder-filled event goes down.
