WWE is always looking to lock down as many names as they can. That includes one that they aren’t currently using.

The company registered a trademark on April 7th for No Mercy according to Heel By Nature. There are many reasons why WWE would want to lock that down.

The company could possibly be looking to bring back the No Mercy pay-per-view. Fans haven’t seen No Mercy since 2017 when Roman Reigns and John Cena battled with The Big Dog going over.

WWE also doesn’t want someone else using the No Mercy name for anything, especially since it has such a nostalgic feel with gamers due to the classic Nintendo 64 title.

We’ll have to see if WWE uses that name again, but they still own the name.
