Rhea Ripley is set to take on Asuka for the RAW Women’s Title at WrestleMania, but this will be the second time the WWE main roster newcomer performed on the grandest stage of them all.

Ripley lost the NXT Title to Charlotte Flair at last year’s WrestleMania event. A lot of things needed to be changed about that show including Ripley’s entrance. Ash Costello is performing Ripley’s entrance this year at Raymond James Stadium, but she revealed to Oral Sessions that was the plan for last year’s show of shows.

“So, I think it was meant to happen last year. I didn’t hear anything about it. She messaged me saying, ‘Like, I’m sorry, this was supposed to be the moment.’ She had been contacted by WWE, but it got canceled before I heard about it. So, they just messaged her this year as well, and she said she was down…I’ve met Ash before, and she is so lovely. I’m so glad I get to share this WrestleMania moment with her!”

We’ll have to se what Rhea Ripley is able to do against Asuka at WrestleMania. She will certainly get an adrenaline-filled entrance as she makes her way to the ring. That was supposed to happen last year, but it’s a good thing that WWE was finally able to make it happen.
