Ethan Page’s departure from Impact Wrestling caused many people to wonder where he would end up next. He debuted for AEW at Revolution, but WWE was also a viable option for the Canadian pro wrestler.

During a recent live YouTube Q&A, Ethan Page answered the burning question that fans had about his decision to pick AEW. He made it very simple. WWE wouldn’t even allow him the luxury of having his own live steam to answer fan questions in the first place.

AEW is giving Ethan Page far more creative freedom. He even had a hand in coming up with his first AEW t-shirt. That is certainly something WWE wouldn’t have provided him.

“I’m going to give you a very lazy answer. I wanted to go to AEW from the chance that I even thought about wanting to move one place to the other. AEW was always at the top of the list. First of all, in WWE I would not be able to do this stream with you guys tonight. I wouldn’t be able to answer these questions, do my vlog, Twitch; any outside stuff like that. And I think AEW gives their talent very good creative freedom to be who they are. You’re going to see All Ego Ethan Page.”

“I literally had a hand in designing my first t-shirt for AEW. So yeah; you’re gonna see sprinkles of my creativity throughout my AEW career. It’s more a collaboration. It’s awesome.”

We’ll have to see what’s next for Ethan Page. He cut a fiery promo during AEW Dark: Elevation this week where he promised that he’s not going away for a very long time. He will also prove that he is the best pro wrestler in AEW. He’s off to a good start already.
