Japan is an island and sometimes that means they get earthquakes. This happened during a very terrible time while a recent NJPW event was in progress.

A 6.9 magnitude earthquake rocked the northeastern region of Japan on Saturday. The NJPW Cup was going on and a match was ongoing at the time. Thankfully, it doesn’t appear that anyone was injured.

This took place during Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Kota Ibushi vs. Yukiro Takahashi, KENTA, and Jay White. The match stopped for a moment and you can hear the commentary team talk about the earthquake. It is also possible to see the entire building shake.

The match was stopped and then restarted after the earthquake was over. It was still a pretty scary experience.
