Sean Waltman didn’t leave the pro wrestling business on his terms, but he wants to change that now.

Sports Illustrated recently spoke to Sean Waltman where he admitted that he wasted years of his life due to substance abuse. He is ready to have one more run in pro wrestling, and he believes that he can make it meaningful.

“I didn’t leave this business on my terms. I wasted a lot of years of my life wandering around in the darkness, but I’m grateful that I still have some time left. And the style has changed, which is good. The bumps are more meaningful than in my era, which is a difference, but they bump less. That extends your shelf life.”

Sean Waltman recently had to undergo surgery, but he’ll be ready for action again. He doesn’t plan on too much activity, but he is obviously willing to go as far and hard as he can.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
