AEW Revolution will feature a very dangerous and unique World Title match. Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley will go to battle in an exploding barbed wire match.

The match announcement drew an interesting tweet from Renee Paquette, Moxley’s wife. Plenty of fans perked up as well while wondering how far AEW will take this idea.

While speaking to PW Insider, Tony Khan revealed that he has been mulling over the idea of an exploding barbed wire match for a while. People expect a savage match, and that’s what they are going to get.

“I came up with it when I was talking to Kenny about matches in Japan, great matches we could do. It came up a long time ago, probably a year ago. I had it in the back of my mind as something we could do. The timing was right now and it’s a great main event. It’s something we can do live. It’s an exploding barbed wire deathmatch. People expect a savage match and that’s what they’re going to get. It’s going to be one of the craziest matches ever on pay-per-view. I paid a big fine for what they did in Baltimore and I think this will be crazier and better.”

AEW did get a fine for the unsanctioned match between Moxley and Omega. The barbed wire spiderweb they used will have nothing on explosions. This time around things will get even crazier, especially since the match is taking place in Florida.
