Fightful Select reports that someone close to Paul Wight said that a big life change was expected. His Netflix show was done and he just sold his home. The fact that his WWE deal was expiring opened the door for him to branch out elsewhere.

One person close to Paul Wight said that they imagined a major career move was happening as Wight has had some “major life events” over the past few months between selling his house, his WWE deal expiring and his Netflix show being canceled.

Paul Wight will likely be a part of AEW programming for a long time to come. It will be interesting to see how Tony Khan uses the former Big Show, but he is now officially with AEW.
