WWE ran SmackDown this week with a few less Superstars. They made it through the show while compensating for their absence, but it was still noticeable.

According to Fightful Select, Jey Uso, Robert Roode, Steve Cutler, and Wesley Blake were all absent from television. They didn’t appear on screen because, at least, Jey Uso and Robert Roode were not backstage at the event.

It was noted that Jey Uso was conspicuously absent, but they didn’t mention why. His image was also not on the Royal Rumble graphic anymore. Uso had previously stated that if he wins the Royal Rumble match then he is going to RAW to challenge for the WWE Title.

It was reported that Blake and Cutler have been absent from television tapings for the last few weeks. It’s unknown if they were at the show on Friday, but they did not accompany King Corbin to the ring.
