WWE Signs William Regal's Son Bailey Matthews To Contract

WWE loves to keep pro wrestling in the family, especially when it is in a family rich with pro wrestling history. William Regal is a first-generation pro wrestler, but his son Bailey Matthews has followed in his footsteps.

The company confirmed a handful of signings for the WWE NXT UK brand. We previously reported how big of deal Meiko Satomura will be for them. Other names included Tony Gill, Metehan Kocabasoglu, and Bailey Matthews.

Bailey Matthews is William Regal’s son. This is a big opportunity for him, but his father’s name could only get his foot in the door. Now it’s time for Bailey Matthews to do the work for himself.

WWE will give an opportunity, but nothing is 100% when it comes to promising a Superstar’s success. William Regal’s son will have to prove himself, and he has big shoes to fill. We’ll have to see what kind of star he can make himself in the years to come.
