WWE Backstage Returning For Royal Rumble

WWE Backstage was nixed due to sweeping budget cuts, but they left the door open for a special episode or two. They are bringing the show back for the Royal Rumble.

WWE On FOX tweeted out a video of Renee Paquette who was very happy to announce that WWE Backstage is returning for a special Royal Rumble episode. The special edition of WWE Backstage will air on the night prior to the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

FS1 will air the special WWE Backstage episode on on January 30th at 8 PM ET/PT. Paige and Booker T will also be on the show. As of this writing, CM Punk is not slated to be a part of the episode.

A lot of fans miss WWE Backstage, and they are clamoring for its return. That has yet to happen, but FOX still reserves the right to bring it back whenever they like. In case you’re wondering, Paquette’s deal with WWE is over, but she is still under contract with FOX Sports.
