WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold remains one of the most popular names in all of pro wrestling. During the height of the Monday Night Wars in the 90s, Steve Austin and Goldberg were two of the biggest names in the business.

While speaking to Bailey and Southside, Steve Austin talked about the how he and Goldberg have similarities in appearance. The two certainly have some similarities, which has led to fans confusing the two of them on some occasons.

Steve Austin recalled some instances when that took place, which would largely take place at airports.

“Well, when I was coming up and really starting to get hot in WWF back in the day, and Bill down in WCW, he started getting hot almost at the same time — boy, ‘Goldberg!’ chants. Bill is one of my best friends that I’ll call all the time,” Austin noted. “I’d be going through airports, and people would yell, ‘Goldberg!’ He would be going through an airport. ‘Stone Cold!’ People got us confused all the time.

“If you put us side by side, Bill is a bigger guy than I am, but if you just see a bald-headed dude with a goatee and some sunglasses on, it’s pretty easy to get fooled by who it is.”

When Goldberg finally made his way to WWE after WCW’s closure, many fans hoped to see Goldberg and Steve Austin finally square off against each other in a match.

However, that match never took place. The two only had a few interactions until Goldberg left the company after WrestleMania 20.
