There are many ways that someone can gauge a Superstar’s popularity. The number of viewers who tune in when they are on television is a pretty big indication.

It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Charlotte Flair moved the needle the most. She garnered an average of 47,000 additional viewers per segment. That number was noted as almost doubling that of Velveteen Dream and Rhea Ripley.

Speaking of Rhea Ripley, she is the only NXT Superstar who “had every single segment she appeared on during the year do better than the segment prior.”

It was noted that Jon Moxley led AEW in that category with an average of 20,000 additional viewers whenever he was on screen. Those numbers are based on quarter hour numbers. It was also noted that some of the stars in the company’s highest rated segments still averaged out to be negative. Those names included Orange Cassidy, The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Adam Page, MJF, Darby Allin and Eddie Kingston.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
