Roman Reigns was advertised for special segment on SmackDown last week, but that didn’t take place. A lot of fans were left wondering what special request The Tribal Chief had for WWE management.

Ringside News has learned that Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman had a hand in changing plans on SmackDown last week. The segment where Roman Reigns had a special request was nixed in favor of what we saw instead.

We were additionally told that WWE fed those “special request” plans to the social media team well before they were changed. “Once the changes were put in place, Vince [McMahon] didn’t want to even mention or work around the social postings.”

Any number of things can change plans around WWE. When the segment involves people with as much creative pull as Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman, their preference can also play into things.

The announcement had already gone out on social media, and it was too late to change it. So, WWE acted like it never went out. This is just another instance of the right hand not knowing what the left is really doing.

There is currently no word on whether Roman Reigns will ever get around to making that special request.
