Kevin Owens did not kick off 2021 the way that he wanted to. A planned match against Jey Uso ended poorly, and he took a massive bump thanks to Roman Reigns. WWE has an update on his situation.

According to an update from WWE, Kevin Owens suffered a spinal contusion and bruised kidneys following that awful fall.

After the attack by Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Jey Uso on Friday Night SmackDown, Kevin Owens was taken to a local medical facility where he was diagnosed with a spinal contusion and bruised kidneys.

Kevin Owens is not done with Roman Reigns quite yet. We’ll have to see how long this storyline progresses, but it is far from over at this point.

This could be headed to the Royal Rumble. Daniel Bryan was once thought as Roman Reigns’ opponent, but his entry into the Royal Rumble match is a good sign those plans have changed.
