The latest episode of AEW Dynamite was a Celebration Of Life for Brodie Lee, featuring several matches and tributes for the former TNT Champion, who passed away recently.
The show featured Lee’s son, Brodie Lee Jr. who was given emphasis throughout the show, especially in the final segment. AEW even signed Brodie Lee Jr. to a contract.
WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross spoke on his Grilling JR podcast, where Ross revealed a promise he made with Brodie Lee’s son. The promise was made at a recent Jacksonville Jaguars game.
Ross promised that he will be the announcer for Brodie Lee Jr’s first title match.
“I was with him on Sunday at the Jags game. I made him a deal that when he wrestles for his first title that I will announce the match. I wanted to make him happy and he thought that was the coolest deal. Apparently his dad had said nice things about me and my work or whatever and the little boy remembered it and thought it was pretty cool.”
Tony Khan also presented Brodie Lee Jr. with the AEW TNT Championship during the final segment of AEW Dynamite this week.
Brodie Lee’s contributions to pro wrestling and his life as a family man will never be forgotten by family, fans and colleagues alike.
