The WWE NXT brand is about to grow by one show. It was previously reported that Triple H was looking at the budget to see if he had room for another NXT show. The wheels are in motion to get that started.

According to Wrestling Inc, Triple H has assembled a team to begin planning a new show for NXT. This would be like a “minor league system” before the black and gold brand.

Former EVOLVE head Gabe Sapolsky is leading this new team. He was also given “several agents and writers to help him get more comfortable with writing television.” Triple H is a big fan of Sapolsky and that led him to this position.

The idea is to create a show that was described to me as an “NXT for NXT”.

It is unclear how this new show will be presented on television, and that has been a challenge. They have an idea for it to “be akin to another promotion running in some of the smaller tier markets.” House shows aren’t likely to return, so they are just making this a television series.

No mention was made as to where this new show will air. It’s easy to assume that WWE will put it on their WWE Network streaming service.

This show idea has been delayed before, and it might get set back once again. Right now the working idea is to have it on the air in early 2021.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
