Mike Bennett On How Much He Grew As A Person While In WWE

WWE released Mike Bennett from his contract on April 15th, but he grew a lot during that time.

While speaking to Busted Open Radio, Mike Bennett admitted that the last few years with WWE were a bit “shoddy.” That didn’t stop him from going through a lot of transformation.

During his time with WWE, Bennett became a father twice over, and he grew a lot. He is also clean and sober which is something he dealt with while with the company.

“I’ve grown so much in my career. The last three years might have been a little shoddy and a little kind of not the direction I hoped it would go? But as a human? As a man, as a dad and as a husband? Through these past five years I’ve grown up an insane amount. I had two kids, I bought a house, my relationship with my wife is the best it’s ever been. That is what I’m most proud of.”

Bennett previously admitted that his WWE run “sucked.” It wasn’t all his fault as the company struggled to find anything good for him to do on television. There was a small glimmer here and there, but The Power Of Love didn’t last.

Mike Bennett returned to ROH, and it was a nice homecoming for him. He reunited with Matt Taven to re-form the Kingdom. Now he has a new mindset and a fresh chance as he begins another chapter in his career.
