AEW and Impact Wrestling are working together, but what is the extent of that partnership?

Kenny Omega and Don Callis, who do have a legit history with each other, shocked the world when they ran off with the AEW World Title. Then Callis said that Omega will be on Impact Wrestling next week to explain everything.

According to Wrestling Inc, AEW’s relationship with Impact Wrestling “is not currently scheduled to be that intertwined.” Fans have created plenty of dream matches, but the plan isn’t for that much of a crossover.

Kenny Omega appearing on Impact Wrestling will be a one-off deal. It is a favor for Don Callis, and Omega was also the one who requested that Callis work commentary during the Winter Is Coming main event match.

Tony Khan approved the idea because he liked it. Aside from Kenny Omega appearing on Impact Wrestling once, the idea is that The Good Brothers could come to AEW for one match. Omega’s Impact Wrestling appearance “will likely be used to setup the [Good] Brothers coming to AEW.”

The Good Brothers’ opponents have not been revealed at this time, but the current mindset is that The Young Bucks will likely get that match.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
