Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns won’t face each other at TLC. That was the original plan, but WWE is holding off on that match until later, possibly the Royal Rumble. Bryan has a significant amount of pull backstage, and he wants to do this feud correctly.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke about the history between Bryan and Roman Reigns. They wanted to do this feud a while ago, but it never got around to that. Now they are trying to make it as effective as possible.

There were periods there a couple of years ago when they were going to do the big Roman Reigns-Daniel Bryan program that they never got to. I mean, it just never ended up that way. They brought Erick Rowan into the program and they never even got to Daniel Bryan. So, this could happen again.”

Daniel Bryan is a member of the writing team, and he’s received amazing reviews for his dedication to that work. He wants a good rivalry with Roman Reigns, and that will have to wait. In the meantime, Bryan will deal with Jey Uso at TLC.
