Sir Sean Connery died today at the age of 90-years-old. He led an amazing life playing a number of iconic characters. Many will always remember him as their favorite James Bond, but he was so much more.

Connery’s cause of death was not revealed. It was said that he died peacefully in his sleep and he wasn’t well for a while.

The pro wrestling world reacted in droves as they woke up on Saturday morning to discover the legendary Connery is no longer with us. He never made a huge impression on pro wrestling directly, but his legend reached to every corner of popular culture.

Matt Hardy sent out a touching tribute as he said: “RIP to the man who turned me into a James Bond fan, Sean Connery. What an incredible life & career he led. Godspeed, Sir Sean Connery.”

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
