Heath was set to win the Call Your Shot Battle Royal at Bound For Glory, but he was injured during the match. His friend Rhino won the match, which secured Heath a contract with the company, but it will likely be a while before Heath can wrestle again.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that Heath suffered a hernia which will require surgery. That will also possibly keep him out of action for quite a while.

“He went to the hospital after the match and he had a hernia and the thought is that he will need surgery which means he’ll be out for a while. I don’t know if it’s 100%, but that’s what the doctors told him. He was back at the hotel after going to the hospital that night.”

Heath could still appear on Impact Wrestling’s television programming and not wrestle. He’s had a non-wrestling role for a majority of his time with the company so far.

He could require surgery which is something he certainly didn’t plan for, but Heath is a veteran who also realizes that anything can happen in the pro wrestling ring.
