Jake Hager will return to Bellator where he will fight another undefeated competitor in Brandon Calton. It seems a bit sudden to announce the October 29th fight with this kind of late notice, but Hager wasn’t taken off guard.

During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez opened up about Hager’s next fight at Bellator 250. They might have just announced the fight, but Hager has known about it for a while.

“I can tell you that Jake Hager has been training for a long time. He was preparing for this it’s not like they asked him if he wanted to fight and he said ‘yes.’ He’s known about it for a while and they just announced it.”

What is even more interesting is that the undefeated Hager will fight during the prelims of the event. That is very interesting as well. One would assume that an AEW star would be a draw of some sort, but Bellator isn’t doing much to make the most of it.
