Finn Balor suffered a broken jaw in two places at NXT TakeOver: 31. He retained the NXT Title against Kyle O’Reilly, but the NXT Champion is out of action. A broken jaw typically takes six to eight weeks to heal, but the belief is that things might not be as bad as they could be.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Finn Balor’s jaw is really broken in two spots. It wasn’t noted how soon it will until Balor can make a return to the ring, but the belief is that it’s not as bad as it sounds.

“It’s not inaccurate [that his jaw is broken in two places], but I was told that it was made out to be worse than it is, whatever that means. I was told that by somebody there — I mean he’s got a broken jaw, but that’s what I was told.”

Their claim is that when the swelling goes down then they will know the severity. It was noted if they knew that Balor would be out for a long time then he would have to relinquish the title. Obviously, they don’t want to do that since they just took the title off Karrion Kross due to injury.
