Renee Young might not be employed by WWE anymore, but she is still paying close attention to what they put on television, especially when her friends are on screen.

JBL appeared in a scene with Keith Lee. He had some advice to offer Lee, and Renee Young loved seeing him on television. Renee tweeted out that she’s 100% here for JBL being used on television as an on-screen character.
I am VERY into @JCLayfield being an onscreen character again!
It’s unclear if WWE will keep having JBL back, but he was around for Payback. It’s always great to see a WWE Hall Of Famer like JBL. He’s still a Hall Of Famer even if COVID-19 cancelled the ceremony where he was set to receive his induction.
