WWE ran another live episode of RAW this week, but the process of putting the show together was a rather stressful process. Vince McMahon wasn’t around until 7:00 PM when he came in and disrupted all kinds of plans.

Ringside News reported that some were upset by McMahon’s absence. It was his 75th birthday, but it was also a big night for the red brand. This left them with little time to smooth things out.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Vince McMahon was on the phone with writers “all day,” and the changes started the morning of RAW. Multiple changes were made over the phone. Then McMahon showed up and even more was switched around once he got a look at it.

The show wasn’t finalized until 9:00 PM. This means that they were still writing the show until an hour into the broadcast. Fans pointed out a disconnected feeling throughout the three-hour show this week, and that was certainly a big reason for it.

Hopefully, WWE can get back into the swing of things regarding weekly live television tapings. It was also well within Vince McMahon capabilities to change anything about the show prior to the pandemic, including re-writing things while they were live on the air.
