CM Punk and AEW are not on the best terms currently and the chances of him returning to the squared circle aren’t that bright either. But, the Second City Savior has started talking about wrestling again in recent years.

Yesterday, Punk decided to take a break from his dead-lifting session and decided to do a quick Q&A session on his Twitter. Naturally, fans bombarded him with their questions and many of them were wrestling related.

One fan asked Punk to name an opponent of his choosing from AEW that he would be interested to work with. Punk named Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks and said that working with them would be interesting.

I think interesting people to work with would be [Kenny] Omega and the [Young] Bucks.

It’s been over 6 years since Punk hung up his wrestling boots for good but fans are still waiting to see him in a squared circle again. The advent of AEW gave a new life to these hopes but things fell through and no deal was made.

However, Punk did work with Fox Sports on WWE Backstage which was still a major shock to many of his fans. Unfortunately, the show was ultimately cancelled earlier this year due to consistent poor ratings.

Regardless of what happened in the past, if Punk decided to tie up his wrestling boots again and step into the ring for one final run, it will certainly be a groundbreaking event and something for the fans to celebrate.
