Opening Segment & Another Title Match Revealed For WWE NXT This Week

WWE NXT will run without AEW Dynamite on the other channel. They are loading up their post TakeOver: XXX show with a couple title matches.

We previously reported that Imperium will defend the NXT Tag Team Titles against Breezango. The company followed that up with another title match announcement.

NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar will defend his title against Isaiah “Swerve” Scott. That match has a lot of potential.

Rhea Ripley will also team up with Io Shirai to take on Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez.

It was also revealed that Karrion Kross and Scarlett will open up NXT this week. Kross won the NXT Title at TakeOver: XXX, but he was injured in the process. He was scheduled for an MRI on Monday, and we have yet to hear anything about results of that test to determine the severity of his separated shoulder.
