AEW has dealt with scalpers in the past it’s a common issue when running live events. The company released tickets for Dynamite on August 27th, and scalpers are already doing their thing.

The company is in a unique position now. The COVID-19 pandemic has made it even more imperative that fans get the seats they pay for. They must keep social distancing in mind.

Tony Khan sent out a message to any scalper trying to split up seats intended for people who know each other. AEW is going to hunt those tickets down and cancel the scalper’s good time in a hurry.

We’ve seen unethical ticket resellers bought outdoor seat pods meant for family/friends & illegally tried to split them, theoretically to put unacquainted fans sat together. Nope. We’ll seek out & cancel any split pods to ensure fans can enjoy the show while keeping safe distance

Scalpers will try to make a buck whenever they can. The absence of live events makes it even harder for scalpers to have anything to do. AEW is selling tickets, but it’s a no scalper situation. If those tickets are found on the secondary market they will be cancelled.

It’s not just about scalpers because AEW is trying to maintain a safe environment for everyone involved. They worked hard to come up with a seating situation that will be safe and they don’t want someone messing up their operation.
