Matt Cardona showed up in AEW, but he only signed a contract for five dates so far. That won’t stop Cardona from having big goals in All Elite Wrestling.

While recently speaking to Wrestling Inc, Cardona addressed his limited dates. He plans on being in AEW for the long haul which will include titles along the way. Matt Cardona is looking to have fun, but that might need to include signing a new deal to make it happen.

“Yeah, so I only have a couple of dates signed. But I didn’t go there just to get a new t-shirt, you know? I’m there for the long haul. That’s the goal. That’s the plan. To show the world what I can do. To win some championships, have some fun and it’s a great environment there.”

Matt Cardona has loved his time in AEW so far. It always takes a bit of time to adjust to a new environment, but the roster is full of people he already knows.

“You know, the past two weeks I was there, I loved it. It was great. You know, it was weird being like the new kid in school. You’re meeting all these new friends and stuff like that, but you know, the reception online has been great. Couple of haters, whatever, it’s life, gonna happen, but I was happy with my performance and I can’t wait to do more with them.”

Matt Cardona was a part of WWE’s April 15th releases, but he didn’t let that stop him. He hit the ground running and got right to work on promoting his own brand and preparing his road on the indies. We’ll have to see what’s next as Matt Cardona continues to prove that he’s always ready.
