Taz did a lot of things to his opponents in the ring, but he never injured anyone with a suplex. This is a point he recently wanted to make very clear.

A clip of Taz hitting a suplex surfaced online. His opponent landed directly on the top of his head. Taz commented on the video saying that they used to call that a “half-and-half” back in his day.

One fan commented on the video and he said that “watching this over and over it looks likes a highly dangerous spot.” The fan then asked: “How do you protect the other wrestler when you execute a move like that?”

Taz shot back a response in quick order. He explained that it was his job to make spots look dangerous and believable in the ring. This is why he was regarded as the Human Suplex Machine, after all.

Wasn’t that my job? Wasnt it my job to make things I did look highly dangerous …many fans think they know ALL the “tricks to our trade” but they don’t! Btw…i never injured everyone (including this opponent) with a Suplex.

Taz can now teach Brian Cage all of his tricks so The Machine can continue in Taz’s footsteps. AEW has a lot of valuable pro wrestling minds on their payroll, and Taz is right up there on top of the list.
