We’ve been hearing a lot of things from backstage in WWE this morning. There’s a lot of news to get to, but first off we must address Vince McMahon’s proclivity for changing things. He did it again during The Horror Show at Extreme Rules.

Dave Meltzer stated on Wrestling Observer Radio that Vince McMahon changed his mind about the RAW Women’s Title match on the day of the show. Asuka was set to win the match originally, but of course, Sasha Banks walked out as a double champion.

It wasn’t noted why Vince McMahon made this decision, but he doesn’t have to explain himself. It was a “last minute change.” We’ll have to see if this results in a television re-match to boost ratings. The rating last week “freaked them out.”

Apparently, putting on a referee’s shirt is all you need to do in order to become an official WWE referee. That’s all Bayley did during Extreme Rules and it appears to have worked. It might be worth noting that Asuka is still listed as the Raw Women’s Champion on the official WWE website.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
