AEW Announces Replacement After Match Was Pulled Due Wrestler’s Past Racist Comments Surfaced

The company revealed that Christi Jaynes will take on Kilynn King on Dark this week as a replacement match. This is a big opportunity for them as their match will be seen on AEW’s weekly YouTube series.

AEW recorded Shawn Spears vs Clutch Adams booked for this week’s show. The match was nixed after it was filmed due to old tweets that surfaced showing Adams using racial and homophobic slurs.

Adams has since released heartfelt apology for those tweets that he sent out a decade ago.
