WWE released several Superstars on April 15th, but Zack Ryder got right to work. He re-branded himself as his real name Matt Cardona and hit the ground running with a PW Tees store. Now he has a new name locked down that could become his new nickname.

Cardona left the Broski moniker behind in WWE. He did register trademarks for “Internet Champion” and “Thousand Dollar Broski.” On May 21st, Matt Cardona filed a trademark for “Major Player.” That sounds like an appropriate nickname to us.

The Major Player name would also play off of his Major Wrestling Podcast that he has with Brian Myers. The two might not tag together on the indies, but their union as wrestling figure collectors is still going strong.

We will have to see what Matt Cardona does with the Major Player copyright.
