WWE had SummerSlam scheduled for August 23rd in Boston. Their mayor said that no event will take place in the city until at least September 7th. Now WWE is out of a SummerSlam host because Beantown isn’t budging.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Vince McMahon is still determined to hold SummerSlam in front of a live crowd. Boston is out so they are looking for another host city. Currently, “the situation with SummerSlam in Boston continues to not look promising.”

There are a few options such as Arizona, Oklahoma, Georgia, or even Florida. Boston is out because Mayor Marty Walsh is not backing down from this official word.

“There will be no fans in Fenway Park in July; there will be no fans in Fenway Park in August–we won’t even be near a situation where there’s herd immunity and there certainly won’t be a vaccine”
