Welcome to Ringside News’ live results coverage for AEW Dynamite.

Tonight AEW returns to live TV – still no fans though – and we’re going to see Matt Hardy make his in-ring debut alongside Kenny Omega to face Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara in a no-DQ match. This should serve as the restart of the build towards the Blood & Guts match.

Jon Moxley will also be in action tonight, facing Frankie Kazarian for no real reason. Moxley doesn’t have a clear opponent for the upcoming Double or Nothing PPV, but that should change tonight. And elsewhere, MJF makes his return, Cody faces Joey Janela, and Lance Archer takes on QT Marshall.

And that’s the card for tonight. Follow along here for live results and enjoy the show!

Dynamite opens with Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, and Exaclibur running down the show.

Cody Vs. Joey Janela

The first match of the night gets underway in broad daylight and they lock-up, with Cody forcing Joey to the ropes. Cody hits a shoulder tackle, then another, but gets caught with an arm drag. Cody avoids a second arm drag and hits a roll-up for a one-count. They exchange pinfall attempts until Joey chops the chest, then he asks for another. Cody retaliates but Joey delivers a knee to the gut, then another chop. He tries again but Cody kicks the hand away and puts Janela to the corner.

Stalling front suplex from Cody for a one-count. Joey hits a leg lariat, then whips him hard into the buckles. Ross and co. talk aboud the testing they had today for COVID-19. Cody attempts CrossRhodes but Joey throws him off and into the middle rope. Joey hits a back suplex and applies a body scissors. Cody fights out and sends Joey to the outside.

Janela whips Cody into the barricade, then chops him against it. Joey tries to jump onto the ramp but fails and Cody attacks him from behind. Joey gets Cody on the ramp and lies him against the ropes, then looks to hit a running clothesline like Cody does, but Rhodes avoids it and hits a Disaster Kick. Cody then hits a moonsault off the ramp onto Joey and puts him in the ring. Cody rallies but Joey hits a superkick and goes up top for an elbow drop and a near-fall.

Joey goes back up top but Cody climbs up behind him and hits a reverse superplex for a near-fall. Joey looks for a package piledriver but Cody counters with a powerslam for a near-fall. Cody looks for the Disaster Kick again but Joey catches him with a German suplex. Joey hits the ropes a few times and turns Cody inside out with a clothesline. Janela goes up top and leaps for a moonsault but nobody’s home and Cody hits the Cody Cutter for a near-fall. Cody tells Joey to get up and they trade punches until Cody hits the CrossRhodes and that’s that.

Winner: Cody

After the break the AEW Women’s Champion, Nyla Rose, will be in action.

Tony Schiavone tries to interview Nyla Rose on the stage and she yells that she is the most dominant force in AEW’s women’s division.

Nyla Rose Vs. Kenzie Paige

The bell rings and Nyla suckers Paige with a knee, then throws her across the ring. Rose stands on Paige’s face, then hits repeated shoulders in the corner. Paige avoids Nyla in the corner and attempts a sunset flip but Rose grabs her. Paige hits a forearm but gets clotheslined to hell. Rose hits a German suplex, then climbs up top and hits a senton but stops the pin herself. Rose hits a powerbomb, then two more and wins.

Winner: Nyla Rose

We see Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander at the barricade watching Rose and she holds her title at them, goading them.

MJF cuts a promo in which he’s sitting on a chair with a bad CGI cityscape behind him. He says he is the guy, despite only being in the industry for six months. He says people are saying he’s great but he’s no Flair, no Rock, no Piper, but that’s just insecurity. Because all those old guys are pissed that a 24 year-old kid has taken the spotlight and he has more It factor in his pinky than they have in their bodies. But here’s the thing, that 24 year-old isn’t a kid and he can take some time off work and come right back to his throne at any time. MJF stands and two guys remove his chair and replace it with a throne.

We get a video package of Shawn Spears discussing Cody Vs. Lance Archer, and Spears just talks about how Cody is an overrated egomaniac and Archer will finish the job he started with Dustin.

We’re back live and MJF is in the “crowd” with Shawn Spears and Wardlow. MJF says we can rest easy that he’ll be back next week. He compliments Shawn Spears and says he calls out Cody for what he really is: the American Sociopath. MJF and Spears share their admiration until Tony Schiavone says MJF will be facing Jungle Boy at Double Or Nothing and MJF is aghast.

Frankie Kazarian makes his entrance alongside Scorpio Sky and Christopher Daniels. He’ll be facing the Champ after the break.

Frankie Kazarian Vs. Jon Moxley

The match begins and they lock-up, with Kazarian taking Mox down with a side headlock. Moxley shoots him off but Kazarian hits a shoulder and goes back to the headlock. Moxley counters into a hammerlock, then puts Frankie in the corner and chops him. Moxley forearms Kazarian, then chops the chest, followed by a snapmare.

Moxley grinds Kazarian down with submissions, and stomps him. Kazarian fires back but Moxley drops him with a right. Kazarian counters Mox with a headlock takeover, then hits a leg lariat. Moxley throws Kazarian over the ropes and he lands on the ramp.

We’re back live and Kazarian grabs the ropes to escape a sleeper hold. Moxley hits a flying knee that knocks Kazarian to the outside. Moxley goes up top and jumps at Kazarian on the floor but eats a boot in mid-air. Frankie gets Mox back in the ring and hits a missile dropkick, followed by a rope-assisted DDT for a two-count.

Moxley hits a German suplex but Frankie comes abck with a backstabber. Kazarian hits an Unprettier for a near-fall. Kazarian hits a shotgun dropkick but Moxley comes right back with one of his own. Kazarian counters the Paradigm Shift with a submission. Mox is sent to the apron and he looks to hit a spear through the ropes but Kazarian knees him.

Kazarian slaps Moxley a few times and pulls his hair, then looks for a suplex into the ring but Mox lands on his feet, only for Frankie to hit a German suplex. Both men trade shots until Mox drops him with a lariat. Kazarian hits a suplex into the buckles. They go back and forth and Moxley counters Kazarian to hit the Paradigm Shift for the win.

Winner: Jon Moxley

As soon as the match ends, The Dark Order run out and attack Moxley and Kazarian. Daniels and Scorpio Sky come back out but they get beaten down as well. Brodi Lee comes out in a suit and he says he is here to answer the bounty Moxley put on his head last week. He says he is not the same man that Moxley stood in a ring with in the past. He’s a leader who any of his men would sacrifice themselves for. Moxley has possesion of something he desires, something he needs, the AEW Championship. Lee challenges him, then gives Jon a microphone and he laughs. Moxley says all Lee had to do was ask, so Brodi runs and kicks him. Lee leaves as his goons batter Moxley.
