The Rock Reveals What Hulk Hogan Said About Passing The Torch After WrestleMania Match

The Rock defeated Hulk Hogan in an epic confrontation at WrestleMania 18. The match saw Hogan morph into a babyface and The Great One received a huge torch as it was passed to him that night.

While he spoke about this historic match during an Instagram Stay At Home live stream, The Rock revealed what Hulk Hogan said to him after their big WrestleMania moment.

“When we got to the back, I gave him the hardest, biggest hug I could, and I thanked him for passing the torch to me and he said, ‘You deserve it, brother, carry it well,’ or he said something like that, and he was like, ‘Like I did when Andre passed me the torch.’ And everybody came up in the back and gave us all hugs and said that was incredible.”

The Rock would later pass that torch to John Cena in a lot of ways with their Once In A Lifetime match that ran two consecutive years. It’s arguable who John Cena might have passed that torch to or whether he is still carrying it. One thing we know for sure is that The Rock received a huge nod from Hulk Hogan that night.
