WWE was forced to produce content without an audience. We all hope that this time passes quickly. The company could be looking into a long-term solution.

Members of the WWE Fan Council recently received a survey listing several very interesting viewing ideas for alternate WWE programming. These ideas seemed to mostly revolve around the action in the middle of the screen surrounded by webcams featuring different people.

WWE asked fans to vote between a couple of different viewing options. Then they asked some specific questions about how it should be presented.

  • Being able to hear commentators and see video (but no audio) of fan reactions
  • Being able to see video and audio of fan reactions without commentators
  • Being able to hear commentators and see video and audio of fan reactions

The idea was also floated out there to have famous faces in the webcam boxes. Other WWE Superstars, sports stars, and celebrities were among the options for who fans might like to see watch WWE programming along with them.

Then fans were asked how this new viewing format compares to having an actual live audience.

Now, considering a viewing option that incorporates your feedback from this survey, how much better or worse would this be relative to a presentation option of a WWE show without a live audience?

This is a very interesting idea. You can check out some of the questions from the survey to get a better idea about the direction that WWE is considering.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
