The coronavirus caused WWE to change their plans. They continue to operate from the WWE Performance Center, but no fans are allowed.

WWE has now officially commented on the coronavirus situation to Sports Illustrated. Everyone at the WWE Performance Center is being medically screened as they continue to operate on a closed set.

“In consultation with WWE Medical Director Dr. Maroon, WWE Associate Medical Director Dr. Dugas and ringside physician Dr. Westerfield, as a best practice and precautionary measure all WWE performers and staff are required to participate in medical screenings prior to entering WWE’s training center, which is now operating as a closed set.”

The company is abiding by protocols from the CDC and World Health Organization to minimize risk. It was also noted that WWE is not testing anyone for coronavirus unless they are showing symptoms.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
