WWE Friday Night SmackDown will go on as planned this week, but it won’t take place in Detroit. The coronavirus has caused them to relocate the blue brand’s show this week.

The company has now released an official statement on the matter. They really are moving SmackDown due to the coronavirus. The new location will be the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

“Friday Night SmackDown on March 13 will air live as regularly scheduled and emanate from WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida with only essential personnel in attendance. The event was originally scheduled in Detroit, Michigan.”

WWE NXT held their show from the WWE Performance Center this week. That had nothing to do with the coronavirus as Full Sail University was double booked for a Hall Of Fame gathering.

John Cena, Jeff Hardy, and Paige are all slated to return this week. They will be doing so in front of a much smaller crowd.
